Argue it out — fairly.

Two people, one turn at a time. Type a quick argument below and watch TalkFair keep the floor fair, fact-check claims live, and read the room.

What TalkFair is — and isn't

TalkFair is a friendly referee for everyday disagreements. It keeps one voice at a time, checks facts as they come up, and offers ideas grounded in public psychological guidance.

TalkFair is not a therapist, counselor, or legal advisor. Its suggestions are general guidance — not professional advice, and not a substitute for therapy or counseling.

TalkFair is not for emergencies or abuse. It can't keep anyone safe, and it isn't built to mediate abusive situations. If anyone is in immediate danger — including domestic abuse or coercive control — put the argument down and contact your local emergency services or a domestic-abuse support line. In the US: National Domestic Violence Hotline 1-800-799-7233 · Suicide & Crisis Lifeline 988. You matter more than any argument.

Fact-checks are best-effort live web results — always follow the source link and verify what matters.

Conversations and their outcomes are your own; the TalkFair team isn't responsible for how they're used.

A fair way forward

Once both of you have spoken, TalkFair can suggest a next step — composed from public psychological and therapeutic techniques.

Both of you need to contribute one turn first.

How this demo reads you

  • Emotions are a basic keyword read (tone words, all-caps, exclamation and question marks) — clearly a rough guess, not a diagnosis.
  • Fact-checks search Wikipedia's public API and DuckDuckGo's Instant Answer API for the claim and show the top sources with snippets, each labeled with where it came from. It's a plausibility check, not a verdict — and if the lookups fail, TalkFair says so instead of making something up.
  • Solutions come from a small curated set of widely published techniques (reflective listening, I-statements, pausing, common ground).

Your conversation stays on this device (localStorage) — nothing is sent anywhere except the fact-check claim to Wikipedia and DuckDuckGo.

Fact-check results come back in English, whatever your language.
